leave this class with a better understanding of how and why hair reacts to color the way it does, and be able to better understand what those buzzword ingredients (like PPD) in your color are responsible for. A prerequisite for The Theory of Color and Formulation and the first step toward becoming an Evolve Certified Colorist, this class may sound basic, but it’s a definite game changer.

The Theory of Color & Formulation
Build upon the fundamentals from The Chemistry of Hair Color and learn to truly master your craft as a colorist. We will dig into the color wheel, understand why hair turns white and how to best cover it, and how to
optimize your color formulas. This class is designed to help you become a master of color theory and color chemistry allowing you to better formulate and predict your results for every client. This class follows The Chemistry of Hair Color, and is a continuation of the Evolve Color Certification Program.

In this class you will gain an understanding of the ingredients contained in lighteners, how they work, and the difference between the types of lighteners. We will discuss how to formulate to create the best toner to complete any blonding service. Lastly we will examine

This class will walk you through an easy to follow four-step process to tackle every major change a client may ask for. In this class we will explore the different types of hair color and their properties to help gain a true understanding of why fashion colors deposit and wear the way that they do. Also covered will be a guide to getting the best and most even results from your fashion colors every time regardless of the brand you work with. The best practices of removing fashion colors will be discussed as well. Attendees can look forward to learning techniques to flawlessly blend and melt fashion colors together to achieve the most on trend looks. This class will also include a hands-on swatching workshop that will inspire creativity and expand your knowledge on how to create the perfect color for each client. This class is part of the Evolve Color Certification program.
